Okay, so season two opened with a 2-hour episode to get us all caught back up in the web of mystery surrounding the killing of Rosie Larsen. In one very creepy moment, Stan Larsen and his sons literally stumble across a pink backpack covered in blood, with the initials RL bedazzled on the front. …

Game of Thrones S02E02 – The Night Lands
The Song of Fire & Ice continued this week, with the incomparable fantasy series Game of Thrones. And you know you’re addicted, and a geek, when you notice and pick out new locations that you’ve read about and imagined appear in what may well be my favorite opening credits for a television series ever. This…
The Killing: Day 16 – Numb
You know, I have really missed this show. As each new episode unfurls before me, I am vaguely aware of how truly caught up I am in each character’s life. My mind is constantly spinning, trying to recognize new clues as they appear, and amend my theories as I go. mostly, though, I am…
Ridley Scott – My Top 10
I am so pumped for Prometheus, but we know that. So, while I wait very impatiently for June 8 to return to The Company, Lv-426 and learn the secrets of The Engineers I thought it would be very interesting to run down my list of favorite films by Sir Ridley. While some people may not…
Rare Exports

Helmed by Mary Harron, who directed American Psycho and The Notorious Bettie Page, both films I really enjoyed, Diaries seems like a misstep. The film has all the ingredients for…
Game of Thrones S02E01 – The North Remembers
I have been looking forward to returning to Westeros since the end of the first season of Game of Thrones, not to mention when I finished the books (still haven’t read Dance of Dragons yet – paperback please). The novels, and now the series it has spawned is epic in nature, there are tons of…
The Killing: Season 2 Premiere/Day 15
One of television’s best written and most intelligent shows is back for a second season, having already begun with its two-hour premiere on AMC this past Sunday night. So much happened on the finale last season that I had more than a few “oh YEAH” moments during the initial catch-up sequences, but then I…
Lost Girl Season 2 Blowout!
So we gathered last evening for the Lost Girl Season finale… Sue and I went to meet up with a bunch of Lost Girl fans including some who had traveled all the way from Alberta to be there! We met up at the Firkin on King, who had graciously allowed Curt (@Faenonymous) to take…
