Tom Clancy books were just a part of my teen years as Stephen King novels, Star Trek, and classic 80s movies (course how was I to know they were going to be classics when I was watching them? I just knew I loved them. I got into the books with the first paperback edition of…

Why Aren’t You Watching Guidestones?
You get out of life what you put into it, the same can be said of the Guidestones web-series. Now we’ve covered this awesome show already, however Sue and I just came off of a great interview with the series creator Jay Ferguson, and the two charismatic stars Supinder Wraich and Dan Fox, and…
Lost Girl, Our Heroes’ Journey
So here we are days away from the season 2 finale of Lost Girl on Showcase here in Canada. We thought it would be a nice idea to look at the journey the characters of Team Bo have gone on this season without spoiling for those readers who are watching it as it airs on…
The Hunger Games
The Hunger Games is a good, solid film. I’ll spare you another rehashing of the plot, as I’ve done so in an earlier post, and people know how I feel about comparing it to Battle Royale – that’s a simple, superficial comparison a best, especially seen in the context of all three books. For fans…

So now we’ve entered the world of camp with the 101 Horror Movies, and if you’re going to watch anyone gleefully chew the scenery wouldn’t you want it to be Vincent Price? Price stars as the titular Phibes, and from the opening scene, you know this isn’t going to be your ordinary horror film, but…
Valerie And Her Week of Wonders (1970)
We’ve come across the first movie that left me thinking “huh.” I can say I didn’t hate it, and visually it’s gorgeous to look at, but it’s just a little… well… huh. This Czechoslovakian film is haunting, and disturbing. The story follows young Valerie who very early in the film, has her very first menstruation….
