Escape From L.A. (1996) – John Carpenter
I love me some John Carpenter, and his work with Kurt Russell is always enjoyable, but this next stop in the Sci-Fi Chronicles book isn’t as good as it could have been, but I still enjoy parts of it, I mean there’s Kurt as Snake Plissken, again. This time the year is 2013, L.A. has…
Orphan Black S02E07 – Knowledge of Causes, and Secret Motion of Things
I so love this show! And this week it just kept getting better and better. I’ve never come across a show that can balance drama, thrills, comedy and wrap it all up in one big conspiratorial bow, but Orphan Black consistently does that week to week. From the introduction to someone a little higher up…
The Killing – Day 26 – What I Know
First of all, I am sorry this has taken so long to write. This past week has been ridiculous with work and, to be honest, I was such an emotional mess after the finale that even now I am having trouble expressing how much I loved it, the whole series, and everyone who had…
The Killing – Day 25 – Donnie or Marie
This show is KILLING me!!! So so good – every episode has been amazing, and there was so much going on this week that I had a hard time falling asleep after! Let’s just jump right in, shall we? The key card Linden found on the 10th floor belongs to someone in Richmond’s camp. …
The Killing – Day 24 – Bulldog
Okay, we are now mere DAYS away from finding out who killed Rosie Larsen, and I am practically sick with anticipation, so this is going to be one scattered post! I can’t even really bring myself to focus on the events of this episode, because my mind is a-flurry with theories and thoughts right…
The Killing – Day 19 – Openings
Okay. Please bear with me – my brain is still going a mile a minute after this episode, and I know I’ve missed things and that I’ll be forgetting things – or even getting them wrong. But let’s just jump in and see what we come up with, shall we? Terry – bless. Dude…
The Killing – Day 18 – Ghosts Of The Past
Gah! This show! It just keeps getting better and better every week! I’m finding that there is so much going on now – with everyone – that it’s really no longer about who killed Rosie Larsen anymore. Yes, I want to find out, and my brain is still spinning on all the new information…
Call Me Snake…
I’m off to a sneak preview of the new sci-fi actioner Lockout this evening. When I first saw the trailer, the only thing I could think was that it looked like a John Carpenter/Kurt Russell film without either of them (though some of the dialogue looks even cheesier) and more importantly, it looked like a…
