Fan Expo Day 4
The great thing about going to cons with Sue Maynard is that we complement each other so well, just like on our show. She’s the schedule, I’m the map, and it works out brilliantly. As we went into Day 4 of Toronto’s Fan Expo, we learned that the key word for this year was…
Fan Expo Day 3
Saturday is undeniably the busiest day of the week at Expo, all those people who couldn’t get Thursday and Friday off work, and all those folks coming in on day passes flood in. The place was full, but for Sue and I, and the fact that the convention is spread over two buildings, it didn’t…

In The Line Of Fire (1993) – Wolfgang Petersen
The 101 Action Movies brings a welcome Clint Eastwood thriller to the list with this tautly paced, and well-executed actioner. Eastwood plays Frank Horrigan, a living legend, the only remaining serving Secret Service agent who was in Dealey plaza on that fateful November day. He begins a cat and mouse game with Mitch Leary…
Boardwalk Empire – The Complete Third Season Blu-Ray
HBO was kind enough to send me an advance copy of their hit series Boardwalk Empire, starring Steve Buscemi, to take a look at. I wasn’t sure how to approach this one, as I am first and foremost very much NOT a fan of the gangster genre. I appreciate the Godfather series as cinema,…
