Here it is, folks! The long-awaited announcement of the 2016 Reelie award winners!

As you may have noticed during the voting rounds, we did things a little bit differently this year. For one thing, we focused only on Canadian television, rather than television and film. As well, there was only one round of voting per category. The third main change, as you’ll see in the video – was that the announcement of the winners was done by first announcing the runners-up, if you will, in each category, before announcing the winner.

The reason for that particular format change is just due to the fact that we have so MUCH amazing Canadian content out there these days! We felt it only right to honour as many of the nominees as possible, rather than just highlight the ones who came out on top!
