Welcome to the weekend! And what a week it’s been, between work, reading, chasing down interviews and blogging how did I find time to watch all the things I talk about below… I really don’t know. I kept a running list of all the things I watched this weekend, and well, it’s a lot! But…

A Second Look – The Untitled Work of Paul Shepard
We returned to the Carlton Cinema last night to enjoy a second performance of The Untitled Work of Paul Shepard. And I have to say, I enjoyed it even more this time around. After our laugh filled, extremely enjoyable interviews with the film’s director, the awesome and seriously funny Jeremy LaLonde, the producer, the ebullient and…
The Vampire Diaries – TV Series
Okay, I can’t believe I am writing this post, but at the same time, I HAVE to. See, I’ve been a closet TVD fan pretty much from the beginning. I don’t remember the moment I decided to check it out (let alone have my PVR record each and every episode), but I remember watching…
The Untitled Work of Paul Shepard Cast Q&A
This vid has been making the rounds on Facebook, and we wanted to link to it on our site as well. This vid was shot by some Lost Girl fans sitting directly behind Sue and I who seemed to enjoy the movie as much as we did. Enjoy!

We here at The Mind Reels were lucky enough to attend the premiere last night at the Carlton Cinemas in Toronto, and were duly delighted. The film is a mock-umentary that follows documetarian Paul Shepard (deftly…
Ringer Marks Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Return To The Small Screen
Let me preface this whole thing with a confession: I was never a fan of Sarah Michelle Gellar. I believe that I used to actually feel that I hated her as a performer, but looking back, that wasn’t really the case. I’d deliberately never watched anything that she was in, is all. It all started…
Not Sidekicks…
Ok Lost Girl. You’ve got me hooked. I’m involved in the story and the characters, I’ll watch you every week. How about something back in return? I love all the characters of the show (even when they seem to be acting like douches… no names Wolfy McWolfson), but now that you’ve established yourself (and we…
Visit Scenic Haven…
Stephen King. Like so many others, his books were a rite of passage in my teen years. I still remember the first one I read… Salem’s Lot (loved the way he interpreted vampires). It was the third longest book I had read at that time (following Lord of the Rings, and Shogun) and I flew through…
