Canadian Screen Awards 2017 – The Red Carpet

The Canadian Screen Awards are always a lot of fun for Sue and I. It allows is the opportunity to catch up with friends in front of and behind the camera and make new ones as well.

We were wonderfully outfitted for the night by the folks at Vistek. Make sure you check out their website here, and use them for all your photography needs!

Things got underway for us pretty quickly when Sue and I got to chat with Mr. D’s Naomi Snieckus and world famous athlete and actor Jesse Lipscombe…

From there we moved onto to some of the creative forces behind the Canadian film, Weirdos; the film’s star Dylan Authors and one of the film’s producers, Marc Almon…

Next up, we got to catch up with our friend Simu Liu, and his castmates from the hilarious, Kim’s Convenience – Andrea Bang, Nicole Power and Andrew Phung…

Then, I had a bit of a fan moment, when we got to meet and chat with the incredible Henry Czerny…

From there we caught up with our friend the lovely Michelle Nolden…

We were then afforded a wonderful few moments with Canadian icon, Rick Mercer…

Next up, we got to catch up with more old friends, Torri Higginson, Lauren Lee Smith, Kristopher Turner, and Rick Roberts the cast of CBC’s This Life…

Then, it’s another moment Sue and I have waited a long time for… we get to meet and chat with Saving Hope’s Erica Durance!

From there, we got to chat with our friend Kristin Lehman!

It was a great privilege to be able to chat with the cast of CBC’s Baroness Von Sketch Show…

It’s always a delight to catch up with any of the Murdoch Mysteries cast, so we were overjoyed to chat with Helene Joy.

Then we chatted with Fan Choice nominee (and winner) Natasha Negovanlis, which was a real delight for us…

From there we were able to catch up with Megan Follows who was such a big hit with us, and our fans last year. Something we were happy to share…

Then, the iconic cast of This Hour has 22 Minutes caught up with us…

From there we got to chat with the very cool, and actually really nice guy in person, Kim Coates!

Then we got to chat with the ever lovely Wendy Crewson…

To end off our time on the red carpet we got to finish with the leads of the series Private Eyes, Cindy Sampson and Jason Priestley who was shocked to learn that Cindy had joined us in helping break a Guinness World’s Record…

What a great way to attend our time at the Canadian Screen Awards for 2017. Sue and I would be remiss if we didn’t thank those people that helped us out, and helped us get there, the wonderful folks at Touchwood PR (thank you for always being willing to take a chance on us) and the fine folk at Vistek who happily outfitted us again this year.

Hope to see everyone there next year!
