Buckle up Clone Club! Here comes the terrifying run to the season finale!! And this episode definitely starts to ramp up the tension!
Delphine (Evelyne Brochu) discovers another Leda clone in the form of a blonde beautician named Crystal (Tatiana Maslany). She seems like a bit of a flake, but may be smarter than she seems, and has had her own Castor encounter… without any signs of the side effects yet. That may set up something a little bad for someone a little further on.
While Dr. Coady (Kyra Harper) is licking her wounds in Mexico, and learns about the possibility that there may be more than one faction at work here on the playing field.
Sarah (Maslany) checks in on Cosima (also Maslany), and they catch up and have a nice heart to heart. It’s a nice moment, for the two of them. Scott (Josh Vokey) comes to Sarah with the information about the code in the copy of Moreau, and that Rachel (Maslany again) will only decipher it only if Sarah comes to see her. Rachel reveals she will only translate the book if Sarah helps her escape Dyad. It seems she already knows about Crystal, and wants Sarah to steal her identity to get her out of the country.
Sarah agrees to the deal, and recruits Felix (Jordan Gavaris) to come with her so that he can help steal Crystal’s information. As such, he gets a little flirty with Crystal, who seems a little sad under her friendly exterior, and just makes her fate all the sadder.
After a visit from Rudy (Ari Millen) in Scott’s apartment, even threatening his cat, he has to turn over the book to the Castor Clone, and he notifies both Cosima and Delphine. As head of Dyad, Delphine is furious that Cosima kept this from her, and lets Rachel escape, only to recapture her and seize the copy she knew Cosima must have made. She also promptly accepts Cosima’s, and orders Josh’s, resignation.
But before Cosima leaves…. She is given a file on Shay (Ksenia Solo), who planted the seed for the end of their relationship early in the episode anyway when she gives her interpretation of Cosima’s Near Death Experience.
On the Hendrix front, Alison (Maslany) and Donnie (Kristian Bruun) are taking in Helena (Maslany having so much fun). She hets a long really well with the kids, and seems to have a bit of a crush on Donnie. It gets more interesting as Gracie (Zoe de Grand Maison) arrives at Bubbles to help out, and bumps into Helena as well.
Donnie has other things on his mind though, specifically the kiss between Alison and Jason (Justin Chatwin), which eventually comes to blows, of a sort, between the two of them.
You know that’s not going to end well! (Especially after the quick look at next week’s episode).
I’m loving this season, the mythology and the characters have continued their expansion and growth, but now, sigh, there’s only two episodes left…
