Buckle up Clone Club, after a week’s rest, Orphan Black (tonight on Space) dives right back into things this week as the Castors (Ari Millen) continue their pursuit of the Ledas (Tatiana Maslany) in the hopes of obtaining the clones’ original tissue samples.
There are a couple of familiar faces in this week’s ep. A reappearance of a fan favorite from last season, and our friend Natalie Krill makes an appearance as well (and WOW!). While Paul (Dylan Bruce) is giving Castors Seth and Rudy a modern Voight-Kampff test, Cal (Michiel Huisman) shows up in Sarah’s and Kira’s (Skylar Wexler) lives again with the promise of being close, and maybe even sharing a living space with them. But, it’s also hinted at that perhaps Cal may know about the Castors, amongst other things, than Sarah realizes.
The Castors, especially Seth, seem to be having some problems, glitching, and seem ready to not just play rough with their opponents but with each other as well. These guys are going to be extremely dangerous.
Art (Kevin Hanchard) spends sometime chatting with Sarah, as they both want to chat about what the Castors are up to, and Art learns of Helena’s disappearance. And speaking of, while she seems to be stirring the pot a little with the aid of her curious new, little, and no doubt potentially dangerous friend. Dr. Virgina Cody (Kate Lyn Sheil), who is overseeing Helena’s interrogations and her health, appears to be a rather formidable and worthy opponent and captor.
With the appearance of a familiar face, Donnie (Kristian Bruun) and Alison gear up for their new opportunity and political aspirations, this provides some much-needed levity in this episode as there is lots going on, and seeing Donnie trying to be ‘cool’ is just hilarious. Cosima and Scott (Josh Vokey) have some nice interaction, and the Island of Dr. Moreau is still hiding out, safe for now, on a book shelf.
The tensions that exist between Mrs. S (Maria Doyle Kennedy) and Sarah are eased a little bit this week, with Felix (Jordan Gavaris) helping out, and pushing S in the right direction, as no one is sitting this fight out.
Two episodes in, and Sarah is already tired of being pushed around by the Castors, so she is getting ready to take the fight to them by planning on visiting with the only Castor that has been of any help of them so far!!
New challenges and pains are faced, tough decisions are made, and our girls may soon find themselves in over their head! And I’m loving the fact that my brain is trying to figure out how they are going to get Helena back, let alone deal with the Castor problem!
Orphan Black continues to blow minds tonight on Space! Tune in!!
