Releasing today is a fun, bloody, and violent home invasion film, that Sue has been raving about since she saw it at TIFF’s Midnight Madness back in 2011.
It’s a lot of fun with some great humor that if you can get into , is very enjoyable.
I don’t want to spoil any of the surprises, there are some fantastic kills, including a brilliant one involving a kitchen appliance, and some very tense films. There are a few jump scares, but more often than not the film relies on its tension, and some truly offbeat performance.
The thing I loved most was the hero’s (no spoilers here) music once it kicked in, it put me very much in mind of a John Carpenter film.
