Sue and I know how fortunate we are getting to meet some amazing people and then being able to call them our friends.

One of them, the amazing Amanda Brugel, who has now been on our show 3 times(!) has created a non-profit organization dedicated to raising money for charities that have a strong focus on improving the lives of women and children, aptly called Brug’s Army, check out their Facebook page here.

Amanda and her team have organized their first event, a small intimate affair to raise funds for the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation, you can find their official site here.

Held on Sunday, June 2 from 6pm to 9pm at Jack Astor’s in St.Lawrence Market,  it’ll give those who purchase tickets, for only $50, to chat and mingle with stars from television shows like Seed, Lost Girl, Stargate: Atlantis, Degrassi, Hannibal, Orphan Black, Defiance,  Mr. D and Murdoch Mysteries. Not bad right?!?

The list is a who’s who of Canadian television, and it’s amazing how many Sue and I actually know personally now (I never would have thought that two years ago!).
