So here it is the morning of the day… of new Doctor Who!! Or Les Miserables! (Or both!)
Well for me anyway.
Sue and I wanted to take a brief moment, while everyone flits about fullfilling their holiday obligations, eating and drinking more than they should and greeting friends and family into the warm hearth that is the human heart that we all call home, to wish you and yours the best of the season.
For those that have followed us, joined us along the way, or been there from the beginning, you know what an amazing year that we have had, and if we didn’t have your faithful support, your retweets, your emails, your comments, and most prized of all, your friendship, we probably wouldn’t be doing this, and it surely wouldn’t be as succesful as you’ve all helped make it.
From the bottom of my hearts, thank you.
If you had told me, even two years ago, that I would count all of you as friends, that I would be wandering sets, interviewing amazing people, covering festivals and conventions, I would have said you’re full of it.
And yet, here we are.
Sue and I often stop, look at each other, and ask ourselves how we got here?
We started this little blog that many of you read every day, and some of you retweet every day (thank you Audrey!), and you’ve even helped us rundown some interviews (thank you Jordan) which led to interviews and new friends (the awesome Rebecca Sandulak) who in turn have helped us even further along.
Sue and I are on an amazing journey, and we’re so thankful.
So it is with the most hearfelt thanks and love that I wish you all the best of the season, I would hug each and every one of you and raise a glass.
We owe huge thanks to our dear friend, the ever-cool Jeremy LaLonde for putting us in touch with Ryan Goldhar, who recruited us to his internet channel, Smithee.TV, giving us a new forum to hold our conversations, and hopefully make you smile, shake your head at us, and be as excited as we tend to be, when you see our guests.
Ryan and Jeremy, thank you, I don’t think I can find the words to express how much both of you have impacted our lives and made us feel so amazing.
There is never a day when I wake up and take all of this for granted. Sue and I work so hard on the blog, on chasing down interviews, on juggling writing for the blog with our jobs, and then try and find time to be a little social as well.
But we do it because we love it, and we thank you for loving it as well.
I hope each and every one of you, wherever you are in the world, whoever you are, know that Sue and I thank you each and every day, and wish you the best of the season, and hope you’ll be with us for another amazing year in 2013!
