Our friends over at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival are putting on two nights of summer screenings over the next couple of weeks!
They are doing a double feature on two Wednesday nights, June 27, and July 11.
And each night they are presenting films that look fun, scary, and in some cases completely unnerving.
All four films have some great rumblings on the internet already!
On Wednesday June 27th, there is a presentation of Juan of the Dead, a film that is well on its way to cult status already! A Cuban take on the traditional zombie film, which is being presented at the Bloor Cinema at 7pm.
Following up at 9:45 is The Pact, which looks like it delves whole-heartedly into the supernatural – a woman returns to their family home, for her mother’s funeral, and visits the home she grew up in. Only to discover there’s a room there, that she has no memory of , and a malevolent presence within…
Then on July 11th Bloor Cinema plays host again to the double feature this time scaring us with Detention at 7pm, which looks just odd, and could be really good or really bad, but definitely looks odd.
Then at 9:45 the final film is V/H/S – which is an anthology film, with a wraparound that looks just as scary as the stories that are being shared with us that night.
For those who dare, and we may be among them, you can check out the official site here.
