So SG-1 is on their way to Atlantis! The Pegasus Project first aired on 28 July, 2006 and was written by Brad Wright.
Aboard the Odyssey, Mitchell (Ben Browder), Carter (Amanda Tapping), Daniel (Michael Shanks), and Vala (Claudia Black) are in the Pegasus Galaxy. They are visiting with the Atlantis Expedition because they believe the Ancient weapon, the holy grail, may be there.
While at the Atlantis base, they are aided by McKay (David Hewlett) in working to activate the Ori super-gate as it was designed only to be dialed from outside the galaxy. Weir (Torri Higginson) and Sheppard (Joe Flanigan) also make appearances.
Teal’c (Christopher Judge) is working to help connect the gates to the super gate, and I wonder if he feels like he’s missing out by not going to Atlantis. He spends the entire episode sitting in a Jaffa transport.
Vala and Daniel consult the Atlantis library, but Daniel thinks there’s something wrong. And they learn something about the ‘hologram’ that serves as the interface. She is actually Morgan le Fay (Sarah Strange). She’s an ascended being!
It’s cool to see a nice crossover like this. There are nice continuity moments for all the characters, and the narrative for both stories gets touched on. The Ori and Wraith both get touched on, but everything is about the team finding a way to recover the weapon, and use it to stop the Ori.
Can Daniel convince Morgan to help them? She offers some cryptic advice about having the information they need, but is taken away by the other Ascended beings before she can reveal more. But at least they have possible leads in the form of planets. But they also know now that the Ascended beings will be of no help against the Ori.
It’s a big episode and it’s great to see the characters from both series interacting. Wright does a very nice job of balancing all the characters and their narratives.

Insiders debuted on 4 August, 2006. It was written by Alan McCullough.
Will the real Ba’al (Cliff Simon) please stand up? When an Al’kesh allows itself to be brought down, Ba’al is discovered aboard. He’ asking for help in eliminating his clones. They all want him dead. And if SG-1 helps, he promises to reveal information about Merlin’s weapon.
But can Ba’al be trusted? And what if he’s a clone?
The team head out to several different planets to track the other Ba’als down. But what is the endgame? Does Ba’al have a plan?
NID agent, Malcolm Barrett (Peter Flemming) also makes an appearance. He’s here to take Ba’al into custody, but how much would you like to bet that none of it goes to plan?
Carter ends up a hostage. The Ba’als are all working together, and they are up to no good, and why do they need Carter? They want the list of planets downloaded into the Stargate Command computer that they got from the Ancient database. But Dr. Lee (Bill Dow) has a plan to save the day.
It’s fun, and Ba’al is an interesting character, but I find myself looking for something more serious as the threat of the Ori grows… And The Pegasus Project was so good!
