The Mind Reels chats with A Dog’s Life Helene Choquette

Hot Docs 2016 continues! The amazing thing about the festival is the variety of subject matter covered, and issues confronted, Helene Choquette turned her camera’s eye on the issue of homeless people, specifically, those with dogs.

Examining the issue, and way they are treated and seen by the public at large, these people survive with the emotional support system provided by their dogs, and try to get through their day to day.

We chat about being objective and telling the heart-rending story of the plight of these people and their animals, as well as sharing personal moments, and wondering what can be done.

A Dog’s Life has it’s Toronto premiere tonight at the Lightbox at 6:45, tomorrow at 10:15am at the Isabel Bader Theatre and back at the Lightbox on Saturday at 1:30pm.
