I hadn’t heard of Dune before I read about the movie being in production in Starlog magazine… So I ran right out and grabbed a copy of Frank Herbert’s classic novel (I’ve since re-read all of the Dune books he wrote, but haven’t read any of the additional ones. I’m even thinking about going back and reading the entire series, including the non-Frank Herbert ones… thoughts?).

Having read the book, at least I knew what was going on in the movie, though of course I was upset over the whole Weirding Way thing… and to be honest, I’m more of a fan of the extended cut… But a David Lynch film with Sting, Kyle MacLachlan, Patrick Stewart, Virginia Madsen, Brad Dourif, Dean Stockwell, Jurgen Prochnow… what’s not to like?
