Trailer Tracks: Batman (1989) – Tim Burton

Back in 1989, I was totally into Batman, that was before DC started disappointing me with their film properties… and I was so excited by this big screen version, though, like many people at the time I scoffed at the idea of a comedian, Michael Keaton, playing the caped crusader. But I became a convert, and quite enjoyed his performance, though nothing could outshine Jack Nicholson in this film, except perhaps the awesome production and costume design.

Featuring Michael Gough, Billy Dee Williams, Jack Palance, Kim Basinger, Robert Wuhl, Tracey Walter and Jerry Hall, this was one of the touchstone events for that summer…

But this trailer… I dunno, it really doesn’t work for me, and doesn’t have any real sense of flow to it…
