Lost Girl S04E06 – Of All The Gin Joints

This week’s ep of Lost Girl, came across as a slower, gentler story that had some fun moments, and sees some great pay off finally for those who have been waiting for the Kenzi (Ksenia Solo) and Hale (K.C. Collins) romance to come to fruition.

We also learn that Bo (Anna Silk) while aboard the train, apparently chose to become Dark Fae. But I think there’s a plan there that Bo is just no longer privy too as she has forgotten it. She also is beginning to suspect that Rayner/the Wanderer may in fact be her father…

There’s a Russian songbird Ianka (Lara-Jean Chorostecki) who has a Fae ability that isn’t so dissimilar to Hale, and it makes Kenzi a little jealous to see the two of them together catching up on old times. But the final scenes, which sees Ianka deliver a death note may have had more of an effect on Hale than he’s admitting, but it’s very nice to see the two of them sharing an embrace and a kiss.

Dyson (Kris Holden-Ried) and Bo have been warned not to fraternize together anymore now that she has pledged to the Dark, but that doesn’t stop the two of them from getting together…

The best stuff this week, for me anyway, is the final moments when Dyson is squaring off against the Una Mens and The Keeper (Christine Horne) and Bo knows that his power will be used against him, so there may be a giant dog fight in the bedroom next week, and to see those spooky contacts in Christine’s eyes is a little disturbing.

The other stuff I loved was all the stuff with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) and The Morrigan (Emmanuelle Vaugier). It seems The Morrigan is trying to woo Lauren with all the wonders of the Dark side, and they spend the entire episode drinking beer (with a 25% level of alcohol), swapping stories, and learning that Lauren is a huge Trekkie! AWESOME!

But Lauren is a complete dolt, and obviously isn’t falling for all the wooing Ebony, as The Morrigan tells Lauren to call her, is trying to put over on her, as she has a very Mission: Impossible moment at the end of the episode, and pulls off a bit of covering on her lower lip, and stows it away safely in a petri dish…

The episode weaves pieces of the season’s arc around the Ianka story, and seems to be taking a bit of a breather before throwing us into the second half of the season as we know things are going to no doubt get very complicated and painful for our heroes…

And what plan did Bo come up with on the train?

It’s going to be an interesting second half of the season, and we also have our set visit write-up coming along with the on-set interviews we conducted… Stay tuned.

What did you think of this week’s ep?

Lost Girl airs Sundays on Showcase.

Haaa cant wait for all of this, guys !! πŸ™‚

This episode was really great. After the huge one and intensive, last week, the ton if this new one sound great.
Less of big actions, less of fast rythm, but more spaces and time to breath and to see the things coming and develop little by little all along from the episode πŸ™‚
Also, even if the others episode were awesome, some had maybe too much informations, too much ways to explore IN SAME TIME, and maybe the spectator could felt a bit lost.
That’s why this episode arrive at the perfect moment ! And its what I love in Lost Girl : they really have success to jungle with things and find the good balance, the good dose of all .. in one πŸ™‚

Also … I remember last year before S3 aired, ask to Emmanuelle : when a scene between Hale/Evony and Lauren/Evony ? And she answered “Maybe your wishes will come true .. or not ;)”
And the both happened ! With this year this awesome scenes during all the episode between Evony and Lauren, but more : between these 2 fabulous actresses : Zoie Palmer and Emmanuelle Vaugier.
And what a new (still manipulating though certainly?) Evony we discovered here ! The talks, exchanges, the cloths, even the ton of her voice .. all were different ! And it was like we discovered a new character. In the skin of the Lauren’s BFF lol πŸ˜€
Very interesting when you watch it deeply, the both playing the game but you feel, knowing Evony that there’s something under all this game and .. we KNOW Evony, so … lol
And our Lauren always repeting that even if .. she doesnt trust her.
When Lauren kissed Evony, was very disappointed and let escaped a “Oh nooo :(“. And not because its Evony, but because I dont like it very much when in a show, everybody in a band/group, finally kiss everybody at a moment.
But when finally we discovered that Lauren had something in mind .. phew !!! πŸ˜€

Im really curious about what happened to Bo in this train. We discover it part by part, each new week. And really cant wait to discover how and why she signed for Dark Faes, if someone forced her, or if, like she says in this ep, she made this cause was something like a plan, for the futur.
This option really make thing more interesting !

About Bo, we feel her darkness more and more at each episode, something like she again has difficulty to start to control and which take more and more place in her.
I thought that the “Dark Bo” would be explored in S3, and it comes again this Season under an other angle, and really cant wait to discover how it will evoluate ..
And seriously, Dyson “Im Ligh, You’re Dark. Its forbidden” You should know knowing Bo that BECAUSE its forbidden, she will do it ! πŸ˜€ She doesnt follow the rules, even being Dark side now. Its our Bo πŸ˜‰

Trick just made me had a huuuuge crazy laugh at his quote “Balls of Minautor !!” πŸ˜€ My God I so love this character (and actor !) πŸ˜€

I missed Tamsin and Vex this ep, but I know that have all characters in same time in one ep, could make also something maybe too much or too much things to explore and just .. too much. Lol.
Its also good sometime when there are not all the characters, but not too much long time please guys, cause we miss each of them very fast πŸ™‚

And speaking of missing … Happy to see our Hale back !!! πŸ™‚
Kc is so missed. ANd was already last season.
Well I really enjoyed and loved each of his scenes, fighting angry with his Siren thing to defend Ianka, but also .. the scene and kiss with Kenzi for sure !! πŸ™‚ Wht a pleasure to see these both happy together and try it πŸ™‚
I hope that the Ianka Death sing didnt affect too much our Siren though ..

And I agree wth you that the final scene between Dyson and the Una Mens is spectacular and promess such a mess in Bo’s bedroom !!
It will be explosive and dont know how it will finish, but I hope that we will see it, and not the “after the scene” πŸ™‚

Well, just saw the ep and so have to rewatch it again and again, and more things to tell, but will stop here πŸ™‚

Again, congrat Lost Girl and thanks for this great moment !
