Monsters University – Teaser Trailer

Yes, I am very excited for Pixar’s Brave, I’m hoping my favorite studio pulls another winner out of their hat, and I can push Cars 2 out of my most recent Pixar memories (sorry folks, not your best work).

And although I have no doubt I will love it – we finally get a full-on Pixar Heroine, yes there’s Jessie but she’s a supporting character in the Toy Story universe, and while Eve helped Wall-E, she was also more in the support role as well, it was undeniably Wall-E’s film.

So while I wait to see what Merida’s fate is, and what new wonders Pixar will show me, I can start to get excited about next summer’s Pixar flick, which is a prequel to their hit Monsters, Inc. featuring Sulley and Mike in their University days, aptly titles Monsters University.

Now, I do tend to worry when studios go back to the well for another go-round with characters, though Toy Story 1, 2 and 3 are all spectacular films, I think this could be good fun.

But I am looking forward to seeing what new worlds, characters and stories Pixar gives us.  Until then, I’ll be quite happy to visit the world of Monsters Inc. again.

What do you think of it?

I love the first one..even after seeing it for one hundred billion zillion times with my son. Its such a lovingly crafted animation, full of little details that really make it come alive. The scene where the scarers are on the production floor doing thier thing is one of pixar’s absolute best.

I agree. Sure the Dreamworks ones tend to be more popular sometimes, but the Pixar ones will weather time better than the rest of the CG titles I think.
