Unrealized Reality was written by David Kemper and first aired on 23 August, 2002. Crichton (Ben Browder) is about to get an education!
When he tumbles into a wormhole, and he encounters an alien, Einstein (John Bach), who wants to learn why Crichton was given this information. And to show him how much things can be screwed up by wormholes knowledge, Crichton passes through a number or other realities, where past events play differently because of it.
We see familiar characters in new and strange ways, and it’s a fascinating watch. A multiverse of Farscape, or unrealized Farscapes in this case.
Einstein also reveals that Crichton actually knows more about wormhole control than he thought. And perhaps he can get himself out of this spatial-temporal problem.
And D’Argo (Anthony Simcoe) discovers that Noranti (Melissa Jaffer) has been providing Crichton with a drug to help him block the pain of not having Aeryn (Claudia Black). He’s less than happy, but does try to help his friend.
Oh, and Sikozu (Raelee Hill) and Scorpius (Wayne Pygram) seem to be closer to cementing their growing alliance.
This is a great episode, there’s lots of fun to be had here. And it also gives a nice look at Crichton’s ongoing arc, his struggle for how he feels for Aeryn, and the real dangers of wormhole travel. But now, perhaps, he can focus and control it better.
And you know what that means? The stakes are higher than ever. This may be my favourite episode so far this season. What a fantastic show.
And that ending!
He doesn’t return to Moya via a wormhole, he finds himself floating in orbit above… Earth?!?! and a To Be Continued text.

Kansas was written by Justin Monjo and was broadcast on 30 December, 2002 (the last episode was at the end of August, imagine that wait!).
Crichton and the gang (guided through the wormhole) have made it back to Earth! But it’s not present day, it’s 1985. The timeline has been changed, it’s coming up on Halloween, which allows for D’Argo and the rest to pass around in public, but what are they going to do about Crichton’s dad, Jack (Kent McCord)?
It seems the biggest change in history for Crichton is that his dad has just been assigned to the ill-fated Challenger mission! To restore the timeline, Crichton has to find a way to convince his father to not take the mission.
There’s a lot of fun to be had as the group gets to see Crichton’s homeworld, and attempt to interact with it based on what they know from Crichton. Chiana (Gigi Edgley) may have been Crichton’s first sexual experience, Crichton gets a moment with his parents.
And Aeryn attempts to keep the police at bay when they come to investigate where the gang is hiding out. Noranti drugs a cop, and D’Argo drives, and flips people off. And Rygel (voiced by Jonathan Hardy) is on a sugar high.
Meanwhile Moya is taken over by Peacekeepers led by Grayza (Rebecca Riggs) and Braca (David Franklin). Can Scorpius and Sikozu stop them? Oh, but wait, there’s a reveal!
It’s all so much fun, very poignant, and has lots of fun little payoffs.
And we’re about to hit another To Be Continued. Moya reaches Earth, and Crichton’s dad is aboard! What is going on now?!
Apparently this is a three part arc, and I am loving every episode of it so far. Smart, funny, payoffs, narrative progression, love it!
