As the crew tries to figure out how to deal with the two Crichtons (Ben Browder), they also try to find a way to heal Talyn after the leviathan’s encounter with something that trounced him.
Thanks for Sharing was written by Clayvon C. Harris and first debuted on 15 June, 2001.
Crichton is trying to figure out which one of him is the clone. Jool (Tammy Macintosh) is trying to tend to Crais (Lani John Tupu), and Rygel (voiced by Jonathan Hardy), Chiana (Gigi Edgley) and D’Argo (Anthony Simcoe) are on a nearby planet trying to find a cure for Talyn.
It doesn’t take long for the planetbound trio to run into trouble. And Crais reveals that Talyn was attacked by Peacekeepers, a retrieval squad.
There’s lots of story threads running through this one. Including the whole Aeryn/Crichton thing… you know something is going to come from that. Not to mention that Crais has a vidchip that reveals something about Aeryn’s past, one that is going to cause problems for her in the present.
The Crichtons work to save Chi, D’Argo and Rygel, who are in the middle of a family squabble. And through it all, you know there are going to be some big choices for everyone, and lots of heartache.
And can they cure Talyn? and what of Aeryn’s mother… Xhalax (Linda Cropper) who is part of the retrieval squad after the young leviathan?
The episode ends with Talyn and Moya going their separate ways… with Aeryn and Crichton, Rygel and Stark (Paul Goddard) going with Crais and Stark, while the other Crichton is left with the others on Moya.
This sets up individual storylines for Crichton and their crew, with the threat of Xhalax hanging over them.
Ben Browder wrote Green Eyed Monster which first aired on 22 June, 2001. We join the Talyn group. While Stark and Rygel are off ship, Crichton is becoming increasingly irritable when it seems Crais is maneuvering things to keep him constantly awake, unhappy, and increasingly separated from Aeryn.
When Talyn is swallowed by a budong, Crais may have a plan to guide them through the creature’s intestinal tract, but it also requires Aeryn to join with Talyn (and Crais).
Crichton is hurt, angry and sure, jealous, and those fires are stoked when he comes across a vidchip in Crais’ quarters that seems to show Aeryn and Crais having sex. But it’s not Crais that is manipulating things, it’s Talyn. He wants Aeryn and Crais, and Crichton is just in the way.
And Talyn is hurting anyone who gets in his way, including controlling Crais through his implant and spacing Crichton.
Things keep escalating for our crew(s). How will things play out for our heroes? Will an accord be reached with Talyn? What will Aeryn’s actions be?
A solid episode with some powerful (and funny) moments.
